Whiz Kids

  • Tutors are needed. Tutors are partnered with a student for the year to work on reading and other areas the student may need assistance. Hours are from 2:30-4:30 on Thursdays.
  • Substitute tutors are always needed. You can call us when you have time to tutor. Hours are from 2:30-4:30 on Thursdays.
  • Snacks are needed for our Whiz Kids. We try to serve nutritious snacks. You would need to plan for 65 students.

E.S.L.

  • We feed our class of 35 students each week at E.S.L. Sack dinners are needed. Nothing fancy. Anything is appreciated greatly.
  • Small group leaders are needed. We try to partner at least every two students with one English speaker. This one-on-one attention accelerates the learning process. It allows learners to see how words are pronounced and to ask questions. Class is each Thursday from 6:30-8:00.

 

  

After-school help

  • Homework helpers are needed on Tuesday's and Wednesday's from 4-5.
  • Have a special talent, hobby or interest that you would like to share with a small group of our students? We would love for you to share your gift for one hour a week for a month.

Mommy and Me

  • Wednesday mornings- help 3 and 4 year olds get ready to go to school and help mothers learn the skills they need to do this at home

Events

  • Thanksgiving, Christmas, Back-to-School, other events throughout the year

General help around the center

  • We keep a list on hand of projects to be done around the center.
