Power Hour: where mentorship meets transformation!

Our program is dedicated to pairing caring mentors with inner-city students to foster personal growth, build positive relationships, and explore life skills alongside a touch of meaningful Bible study.

Why Volunteer?

  • Life Skills Development: Equip students with essential life skills that aren't always taught at home such as financial literacy, time management, and communication skills.

  • Positive Relationships: Build a supportive and encouraging relationship with your student that goes beyond mentoring sessions.

  • Bible Study: Explore foundational principles and values through enriching Bible study lessons.

  • Community Impact: Make a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals in the Shidler Wheeler community.

What You'll Do:

  • Connect Regularly: Engage with your student once a week at FaithWorks in meaningful conversations and activities.

  • Set Goals: Help them set and achieve personal and academic goals.

  • Share Faith: Incorporate Bible study into your mentoring relationship.

  • Celebrate Progress: Celebrate milestones and successes together.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Compassionate Mentors: Individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference.

  • Empathetic Listeners: Ready to listen, understand, and support their student's journey.

  • Reliable and Committed: Your student will rely on your consistency and support.
