Stay at Home Mission Trip

What if your next mission trip didn't require a plane ticket?

 

Join FaithWorks of the Inner City for a weekend of serving, learning, worship, and connecting with the people and community we serve. Bring your family, gather some friends, or come with your small group and experience local missions together.

October 23 - 25, 2026. No registration fee. No travel required. Just come ready to serve.

What to Expect

Friday Evening: Connect

Start the weekend with dinner, meet the FaithWorks team, and learn about our ministry, our neighborhood, and the kids and families we serve.

​

Saturday: Serve & Explore

Get an inside look at the Shidler-Wheeler community through neighborhood tours and hands-on service. Participants will have the opportunity to serve in different areas, including:

• FaithWorks programs and community center

• Shidler-Wheeler Community Thrift Store

• Fall Festival preparation

• Other hands-on projects

 

Sunday: Worship & Serve
Gather for worship with our new partner, Light Community Church, at FaithWorks before spending the afternoon serving at our Community Fall Festival.

This is For You if...

You want to experience missions but don't have the time or ability to travel.

You want your children to experience what it means to serve others.

You want to serve alongside friends, your family, or your small group.

You want to learn more about the needs and strengths of a community right here in Oklahoma City.

 

Come as You Are

There is no cost to participate, and children are welcome! FaithWorks will provide meals throughout the weekend.

You can stay at home, sleep in your own bed, and still experience the joy and impact of a mission trip.
